With an ailing shoulder and his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to question everything – Scout’s love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he’s never been able to overcome. The secret he’s never shared with anyone. He may be a man pushed to his limits, but he’s hell-bent on proving his worth no matter the cost.

REVIEW

In The Player i loved Easton. In The Catch i fell in love with him.

Book 2 in this duet! The wait nearly killed me but it was Oh So Worth It!

We start where we left off. Easton doesn't know who he can trust. He feel's like everyone has betrayed him. He's at rock bottom when he should be on top with his recovery going so well. He also has a big secret he's hiding that gets mixed in amongst the betrayals.

Scout feels like she's losing everything she's found. She's made a split second decision that could cost her everything. This time she's not going to run away. She's going to fight for everything she never dreamed she would want.

Where to start....

I'm a gushing mess for the whole book! Wow!

There is so much going on here i was gripped from the first word... No scratch that.. the first letter... no wait ... the cover!

There's twists and turns at every chapter. As the story unraveled i don't think i closed my mouth once! I was catching flies! There were gasp's galore! I seriously was on the edge of my seat.

I loved the plot. With K Bromberg i always find her writing is pure perfection, boy does this lady know how to write a tale. Over two books there wasn't one time where i was bored or fed up i was nothing but gripped! I barely saw what was going to hit me next! It was just wonderful.

The Player was kind of the set up to this one. I felt we got to know more about Scout in book 1 whereas book brought us Easton.

The chemistry between the two is undeniable. It jumps off the page at you and blankets you in passion, determination and love. The sexy times between them were smouldering and exciting. The scene where they pretend that she's a baker and what follows... Hell yeah!! HOT HOT HOT! Sorry for little spoiler but it's so worth the mention it's not even funny!! YUM!

To be honest i though Scout may run a few times but she totally surprised me. She accepted that she was in love with Easton and once that was decided that was it! She fought tooth and nail to keep him. It was actually Easton that ran. But you know what? This made me fall for him. His vulnerable side. Although i love a cocky alpha as much as the next person, this side of him made me want to grab him up out of that book and keep in my pocket, always, so i can take him out and play with him when i want lol.

The secondary stories of both their families made me cry. On several occasions my heart broke. Easton and Scout have, when you think about it, been through a lot in their lives even before they met. This built up alongside the present day stuff and packed a powerful emotional punch.

We had everything in here to keep you entertained. Honestly one of my favorite books this year.

Now i want to make a little plea to K Bromberg... I know he was kinda bad... i know it's gonna take a bit to redeem him... but... but... please can we have a book on Santiago? Please? I found it really hard to hate him even after everything he did. A novella might help... anything please? Thanks in advance! lol

This book is part of a duet and cannot be read as a standalone.
